Help with Halo.

Email abdulresha12@gmail.com. Include your iPhone model and iOS version. If something failed, quote the exact message shown on screen: Halo prints the real reason rather than a generic apology, which makes problems much faster to diagnose.
Setting up the Action Button
Halo cannot bind the Action Button for you. iOS gives apps no way to read or set that binding, so Halo explains the steps instead of pretending it is done.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Action Button.
- Swipe to Controls.
- Tap Choose a Control and pick Halo.
The older route still works if you prefer it: swipe to Shortcut instead and pick Start Halo Recording.
No Action Button on your iPhone
Four other ways in, and the first works without unlocking the phone.
- Lock Screen. Press and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, and swap one of the bottom buttons for Halo. One press from a locked phone.
- Control Centre. Swipe down from the top right, add the Halo control.
- Back Tap. Settings, then Accessibility, then Touch, then Back Tap, then pick Start Halo Recording. Double-tap the back of the phone. This needs no special hardware and works on every supported iPhone.
- Siri. Say Record with Halo, or "new Halo note".
Apple Watch
The Watch app is a remote. It starts and stops a recording on the iPhone and shows the level from your wrist. Audio never crosses to the Watch, and the Watch cannot record on its own.
My notes have no summary or mind map
That means Apple Intelligence was not ready when the note was made. Halo still records and still writes the full transcript, so nothing is lost.
- Settings, then Apple Intelligence and Siri, then turn Apple Intelligence on.
- The model downloads in the background. This can take a while and needs Wi-Fi and charge.
- Record a new note once it has finished. Existing transcript-only notes stay as they are.
Apple Intelligence is not available on every iPhone. Halo tells you which of the three reasons applies on your device, inside Set up Halo.
One thing that hides the toggle: if your iPhone language and your Siri language differ, iOS shows no Apple Intelligence switch at all. Set both to the same language and it appears.
Halo could not open my notes
If you see this on launch, tap Try again first. It is safe and usually works when the phone was simply low on storage. Free up space and reopen.
Start fresh deletes the notes database so the app can start again. Because Halo stores nothing on any server and excludes its data from iCloud and device backups, notes removed this way cannot be recovered. Your audio recordings are kept. Only use it if Try again keeps failing.
Privacy
Halo contains no network code and calls no servers of its own. Audio, transcripts and notes never leave your phone. Nothing is collected, so there is nothing to opt out of and no account to create.
Two things do go through Apple directly: iOS downloads the on-device speech model once, and purchases run through the App Store.
Because notes are excluded from iCloud and device backups by design, they do not transfer to a new phone. Export anything you want to keep before switching devices.

Purchases
Your first ten notes are free. After that Halo is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no account. If you reinstall the app or set up a new phone, open Settings inside Halo and tap Restore purchase. Restores use the Apple Account that made the original purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Known limits
- There is no limit on how long a note runs.
- Halo records solo voice notes. It is not a meeting recorder and does not label who is speaking.
- Notes do not survive a move to a new phone, by the same design that keeps them off every server.
- Halo is for iPhone. There is no Android, Mac or web version.
